Volunteering at Nibbles
Nibbles has no paid staff and is entirely run by team of dedicated volunteers who donate their time to keep the rescue open and running, as well as, helping with the day to day care of the animals. Without this regular voluntary help Nibbles would not be able to operate. Volunteering is a hugely rewarding experience, here's what a few of our current volunteers have to say about volunteering at Nibbles.
'So rewarding to help out with the beautiful rabbits, who are extremely lucky to have come to a fantastic rescue. Always look forward to my Mondays, I find it very rewarding.' - Diane
'Always a real pleasure to help out with all of the hamsters, degus, rats, and guinea-pigs. I have learnt a lot about each of them.' - Margaret
'I feel honoured to be part of such an amazing rescue. Nothing feels better than to know these animals are now safe and well cared for. It's rewarding to know that I can help in some way.' - Becky

Fundraising Coordinator Volunteer/Trustee
If you are looking for a more admin based role, where you can really get involved with the rescue then this position could be perfect for you. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to manage and organise all aspects of our fundraising. This role is also a trustee position within the charity. The perfect candidate will have had some previous experience of charity fundraising and able to create and implement a long-term fundraising strategy which will meet the current needs of the rescue and provide scope for the rescue to grow into the future. You will need to be able to work alone, and as part of a team, working closely with our centre manager, treasurer, and digital media manager. Ideally you would need to be close to the rescue and able to attend committee meetings. However, we are willing to accept applications from individuals able to undertake the role remotely and attend meetings via video link.

The small print: We are only insured for volunteers 18 years and over. The rescue is located on a small holding and therefore is prone to get very wet and muddy during the winter months, so suitable clothing (waterproofs) and footwear (wellies), will be essential. Hot and cold drinks are available and any volunteer working a shift 4 hours or more in length, is welcome to bring a packed lunch. We do have facilities to heat food if required.
