Christmas is a time for celebration, kindness, and the joy of giving. Yet, for animal rescues, it’s often one of the most challenging seasons. As the holidays approach, we see a heart-breaking rise in abandoned animals, placing even greater pressure on already stretched resources.

This year has been particularly tough for Nibbles. Due to a lack of funding, we’ve had to keep half of our rabbit housing and our rodent cabin closed since June 2023. As a result, we’ve been forced to turn away an animal in urgent need of help every two days.
But with your support, we can continue our lifesaving work and give these animals the chance they deserve.
Elliott is one of the many rabbits who have been abandoned by their owners, but thanks to the kindness and support of people like you, he’s found safety and care at Nibbles.
For countless rabbits, the path to rescue is anything but easy. Many come from heart-breaking situations where they’ve been abandoned, neglected, or misunderstood. The reality for these rabbits is often a life of isolation, fear, and poor living conditions.
Too many rabbits are confined to small, cramped hutches, sometimes left alone for long periods, with little to no social interaction or mental stimulation. Their basic needs, like fresh hay, quality pellets, and clean bedding, are often neglected, leading to poor gut mobility and health issues. Without proper care and attention, these animals can suffer emotionally and physically.

At Nibbles, we see this reality every day. The vast majority of the rabbits who come into our care have lived in environments that were not suited for their needs. Many have never experienced the simple joy of hopping freely or enjoying fresh, nutritious food. But when they arrive at our rescue, their lives begin to change. We provide them with the love, care, and space they need to heal and thrive, no matter how long it takes.

However, the journey to recovery is a long one. It’s not just about feeding and sheltering them—it's about offering a safe space where they can feel loved and secure again. And we can only do this with your support.

Already on their second home, when they became unwanted once again, these beautiful buns arrived in urgent need of our expertise, care, and commitment. With your help, we’ve been able to address their many challenges and set them on the path to a brighter, happier future.

To be eligible to receive a support pack you must make a donation of £10 or more before 31/12/24 and complete the form at the end of the donation process.

Support packs are only available to UK addresses, we are unable to ship these overseas

Support packs will be sent out after 01/12/24 and within 5-7 days of your donation after this date via 2nd class post
